STATEMENT
I have been impulsively compelled to draw and paint since I was a little child.
But that wasn't my art.
To make art that could be mine, I had to define what that would mean.
What do I fear? What do I love? What do I value?
These questions haunted and inspired me to create art that expressed my innermost thoughts and feelings.
For me, creating art is a way to find deeper meaning in life. It requires me to reflect on my past to understand where I came from and how I can use that knowledge to open new worlds towards my future. This process can be difficult as I grapple with my thoughts, emotions, and the spirit within me. But when I push through those struggles, that battle most always transforms into a beautiful dance.
Through my artwork, I am able to come closer to answering the question of "Who am I?" in a way that words cannot express. It is a constant journey of self-discovery that reminds me why I do what I do.
